For years, the Powell family felt a calling to foster but wrestled with uncertainty and concern about how it might impact their daughters. Through prayer, reflection and conversations with their children—along with encouragement from foster families at church—they felt God clearly leading them to take the step of applying.
The Powells believe sharing their blessings means offering stability, love and faith to a child in need. Their foster application was approved in November 2024, and they welcomed their first placement on December 13, 2024. While the transition has brought big changes, they are deeply grateful for the opportunity and hope their story encourages others who are considering the foster journey.
The Powells are an outdoor family with 2 dogs, 2 cats & numerous chickens. In the summertime they love being in the pool & on cooler days they enjoy camping, trampoline time, the hot tub, tree swinging and go kart riding.
