Celebrating a major milestone

Our team completed 305 Commercial Sexual Exploitation Identification Tool (CSE-IT) screenings in February for children ages 10 and older, helping identify those affected by trafficking and exploitation. By screening all eligible populations, we are ensuring early detection and timely support for those who need it most.

In addition to that, we’re 100% compliant, with manageable caseloads allowing case managers to provide detailed screenings and link families to resources.

These outcomes reflect our progress in protecting vulnerable youth and enhancing a system rooted in care and prevention.

Celebrating Connection and Growth

In January, we kicked off the new year with purpose by welcoming new mentors through orientation and providing valuable 3I Training, a mentor specific training focused on informing, inspiring and ingaging. These sessions equipped our dedicated experienced Permanency Case Managers with the tools and insights needed to build meaningful, supportive relationships with our new Permanency Case Managers—setting the foundation for impactful mentorships that continue to thrive.

In March, we took time to celebrate our mentors with special luncheons in Brownwood, Abilene and Wichita Falls. Gathering over shared meals, mentors connected with one another, reflected on their experiences and heard directly from staff about the difference their consistent presence makes with new workers.

Thank you to our incredible mentors for showing up with open hearts and steady commitment. And to our valued stakeholders—your ongoing support makes these moments of connection and celebration possible. Together, we’re building something truly special.

A young person's story of home and family

One of our young people entered care after experiencing neglect, domestic violence and caregiver substance use. Although, this youth's family couldn’t serve as a placement, they remained committed to the child’s well‑being and shared key information about a distant relative who was a licensed foster parent.

At the time, this relative was fostering other children and unsure whether they could take on another placement, but our adoption recruitment team stayed connected, sharing more about the child’s resilience, his love of the outdoors and his need for permanency.

With the support from the recruitment team over several months, a natural connection began to form between the two. Their shared interest helped build trust, and the impact on the young person was profound. His history of running away stopped, and he became calmer and more regulated as their relationship deepened.

In December 2025, the relative adopted this youth! Permanency didn't come quickly for him, but through persistance, relationship-building and a willingness to explore family connections, he found what every young person deserves: a home and a future rooted in belonging! Today, he is growing into the confident, grounded young person he was always meant to be.

Higlights from our Youth at PEAKS Camp

In March, 2INgages youth and dedicated staff participated in PEAKS (Physical and Environmental Activities for Knowledge and Skills) Camp. This four-day program provided a meaningful opportunity for personal growth, skill-building and relationship development away from daily routines.

The experience fostered resilience, confidence and stronger bonds between the youth and staff through structured activities and shared challenges. Participants returned energized, with new perspectives and a deeper sense of community within our agency.

We are grateful to our committed staff for facilitating this enriching trip and to our resilient youth for their openness and courage throughout the experience.  A huge thank you to our valued stakeholders for your continued support, which makes experiences like these possible and creates lasting positive impact in the lives of the youth we serve!

Strengthening our Provider Network - Sparking Inspiration and Appreciation

2INgage recently hosted an energizing Provider Meeting featuring an outstanding training session with the Texas Heart Gallery. Providers gained powerful, practical strategies for recruiting and engaging families—equipping them with fresh tools and insights to connect more children in foster care with safe, loving and permanent homes.

Later, the team gathered in Wichita Falls for a heartfelt Heart Work Appreciation Lunch. Surrounded by warmth and gratitude, providers shared powerful stories, celebrated one another’s dedication and honored the compassion that drives their daily work. The room buzzed with appreciation for the vital role each foster parent and provider plays in transforming lives.

By strengthening recruitment efforts and celebrating our outstanding providers, we continue to expand the pool of quality, nurturing homes where children can feel safe, heal and thrive. Together, we are protecting vulnerable youth and empowering them to build brighter futures.

Justin Uphill

Permanency Supervisor

In the fast‑paced and emotionally demanding world of child welfare, strong leadership isn’t just helpful—it’s essential. This month, we are proud to spotlight Justin Uphill, a supervisor whose steady presence and genuine care have made a meaningful impact on his team and ultimately, on the families we serve.

With nearly two decades of experience in care management, one staff member shared that Justin stands out as one of the most supportive supervisors they’ve ever worked with. He leads with humanity, kindness and consistency. Whether a team member is navigating a difficult case, processing something heavy or simply needs space to regroup, Justin listens—truly listens—and ensures they feel heard and valued. His approach reinforces that the work we do matters, even on the hardest days.

Supervisors like Justin strengthen entire programs. His compassion, integrity and respect create an environment where staff feel supported and able to bring their best selves to the families who rely on us. We are grateful for his leadership and proud to recognize the difference he makes every day!

Stronger Support for Our Families

2INgage now has 73 fully case-assignable case managers — the highest number we’ve had since November 2023. 🎉

This milestone means we can provide more consistent, timely support to the children and families we serve. Every additional case manager helps reduce caseloads, improve response times and ensure our kids receive the dedicated attention they deserve on their path to permanency.

While we celebrate this progress, the need remains. We are actively calling for more compassionate and committed social workers and case managers to join our team. If you or someone you know has a heart for child welfare and wants to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families, we invite you to explore a career with 2INgage.

Together, we’re building a stronger safety net — one dedicated professional at a time. 💙
