Texas Child Care Administrators Conference

What an incredible experience at the 2025 Texas Child Care Administrators Conference: The Village!

Our team was proud to connect with more than 1,500 child welfare professionals for three days of learning, collaboration and community-building.

A special highlight? Our staff led an impactful Foster Care Simulation, giving participants a deeper understanding of the challenges and realities faced by children and families in care.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to engage with us and share in the mission of uplifting children, youth and families across Texas. Together, we’re building stronger communities!

The Parents Empowering Parents (PEP) Support Group offers a safe and welcoming space for parents involved in the Child Welfare system to connect, share experiences and support one another. The group provides parents with practical resources, guided conversations and encouragement to strengthen their confidence, help build relationships and gain tools to help their families thrive. 2INgage hosts these meetings each month in both the Abilene and Wichita Falls areas, facilitated by a parent with lived experience who has successfully reunified with their children. The Abilene group is led by Jessica Bills. The Wichita Falls group recently began meeting at the end of the summer and is led by Danielle Garcia Brown. 2INgage is excited to see the turnout each month, as well as the participation of not only 2INgage families, but also FBSS families. Plans are also underway to start another group in Brownwood.

On October 25, 2INgage's Youth Leadership Council (YLC) gathered for a creative and inspiring meeting. Participants took part in a hands-on project that centered around sharing their life story through artwork. The group also had the opportunity to meet with Antonio Grate, a professional speaker about Strategic Storytelling and the power of using their voices for positive change in the foster care system. It was an empowering day focused on creativity, connection and self-expression!

If you can believe it, another Christmas is coming near! At 2INgage, we believe every child deserves to feel the magic of Christmas. Many children in foster care face the season without the comfort of family traditions or the excitement of gifts under the tree. That’s where our community comes in.

We’re asking for your help to make this Christmas bright for children in foster care. Whether through donating gifts, contributing funds or spreading the word. Your support ensures every child feels valued, remembered and loved during this special time of year.

Together, we can show our children that their community cares and that the spirit of Christmas is truly about giving from the heart. Please click the linked image above to find some children and youth's wish lists. We kindly request that gifts be dropped off at any of the 2INgage offices across the Region by December 12, so we can ensure each child has a gift to open on Christmas.
