Thanksgiving is a holiday centered on gratitude, family and shared traditions. For children in foster care, these traditions can play a powerful role in helping them feel included, valued and part of something lasting. When families make intentional space for children to participate in celebrations, they are offering more than a holiday meal. They are building trust and belonging!
Jason and Andrea Anderson have been a foster home with TFI for 4 years. During that time, they have supported multiple children including siblings in their home. Andrea and Jason have a passion for caring for children in their time of need and being a bright spot in their lives. They have helped teenagers prepare for adulthood as they transition out of the foster care system. Andrea and Jason are also active in the recovery community in the jail. The family has consistently been a pillar in their community by caring for children in need.

Celebrating National Adoption Month: Honoring Families, Hope and New Beginnings
November is National Adoption Month - a time to recognize the incredible love, resilience and commitment that define our foster and adoptive families. It’s a chance to shine a light on the thousands of children and teens waiting for permanent, loving homes, and to honor the families who open their hearts to provide stability and belonging.
For foster parents, this month is also a celebration of the vital role you play every day. Whether you are supporting reunification, offering a safe and nurturing space or exploring adoption yourself, your dedication creates life-changing possibilities for young people. This month reminds us that every child deserves connection, and every caring adult can make a lasting impact.
Thank you for all you do—your compassion helps build families and futures.
