Fall is a season full of opportunities to create memories. The cooler weather, colorful leaves and family-focused holidays make fall the perfect time for families to grow closer.
For those caring for children in foster care, even the simplest traditions can help kids feel safe, loved and part of something bigger. If you’re looking for ways to make the most of the season, check out these simple and affordable fall activities that bring families closer together.
Darmaine and Clemeyia Davis have been fostering with TFI since June and bring years of valuable experience as foster parents. They are skilled at helping children transition into their home, making each child feel welcomed and supported. The family is prompt in meeting children's needs and makes excellent use of local resources to obtain necessary items for new placements. They also do an outstanding job of building strong connections with biological families. Children placed in their home are included in all family activities, such as dinners and game nights, ensuring they feel truly valued, loved, and part of the family. Thank you, Davis family, for all you do for Oklahoma’s children.

DAY AT THE K 2025: A HOME RUN FOR TFI FAMILIES
On September 7, TFI families gathered at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City for our annual Day at the K, celebrating the incredible children, caregivers, staff and supporters who make our mission possible. More than 300 attendees came together for a day of connection, laughter and baseball fun as the Kansas City Royals took on the Chicago White Sox. From the tailgate lunch and prize giveaways to the joy of seeing so many of our families enjoy the game, it was a memorable day for all.
